DESCRIPTION:For three decades\, the Rites of Passage Program at Koinonia Worship Center & Village has served as a beacon of guidance\, mentorship\, and transformation for young Black men and boys. This year\, we celebrate a remarkable milestone as the Christian Men of Destiny and Distinguished Gentlemen Ministries present the 30th Anniversary Rites of Passage Ceremony. \nMore than a ceremony\, this annual gathering is a reflection of Koinonia’s enduring commitment to developing strong leaders\, responsible citizens\, and men of faith. Throughout the years\, countless young men have been challenged\, encouraged\, and equipped to navigate life with purpose\, character\, and spiritual conviction. Their journeys stand as a testament to the power of intentional mentorship and community investment. \nDuring this special celebration\, we will honor the legacy of the program by recognizing past graduates whose lives have been shaped through the Rites of Passage experience. We will also spotlight this year’s transformation candidate(s)\, celebrating their growth and the commitment they have made to embrace the responsibilities of manhood. One of the most meaningful moments of the ceremony will be the presentation of the signet ring\, a powerful symbol of identity\, responsibility\, and the lifelong connection between the individual and the Village that helped shape them. \nAs families\, mentors\, church members\, and community supporters gather together\, attendees will be reminded of the importance of investing in the next generation. The ceremony serves as both a celebration of achievement and a call to action\, encouraging each of us to play a role in guiding\, supporting\, and uplifting young people during their formative years. \nGuests are encouraged to wear African attire as we honor our heritage\, celebrate our legacy\, and reaffirm our collective responsibility to prepare future generations for success. \nJoin us on June 14\, 2026\, at 10:00 a.m. as we celebrate 30 years of transformation\, mentorship\, and community impact at Koinonia Worship Center & Village.

This special anniversary gathering sets the tone for the weekend by bringing together church members\, families\, friends\, and community guests to reflect on God’s faithfulness and give thanks for all He has done.\nThroughout the evening\, attendees will experience dynamic worship led by our Praise Team and Choir\, inspiring messages from special guests\, and moments of celebration that honor the legacy of Koinonia Worship Center & Village. As we gather under the anniversary theme\, “Let Us Rise Up and Build” (Nehemiah 2:18)\, we are reminded that every generation has a role in strengthening the work God has entrusted to His people.\nThis service is more than the start of a celebration\, it is an opportunity to recommit ourselves to the mission of sharing Christ’s love and continuing the work of building a stronger church\, stronger families\, and a stronger community.

Teams representing various ministries will test their knowledge\, showcase their creativity\, and compete for bragging rights while cheering one another on in a spirit of unity and fun.\nThis unique event is an opportunity to strengthen relationships across ministries\, celebrate the diverse gifts and personalities that make up the Koinonia family\, and create lasting memories together. \nGuests can expect an energetic atmosphere filled with friendly competition\, special guests\, refreshments\, music\, and plenty of surprises along the way.\nOne of the greatest strengths of the Church is its ability to bring people together.
